Evidence-based physiotherapist with a focus on restoring movement, alleviating pain, and empowering clients to lead fuller lives.
"The body has an innate capacity to heal, my role is to guide, support, and amplify that process."
Dedicated to the art of recovery
I am a newly graduated physiotherapist with clinical experience across musculoskeletal, sports, private practice and acute cardiorespiratory settings. Throughout my training, I focused on developing strong assessment skills, clear communication and a patient-centred approach to care. I aim to provide treatment that is guided by patient goals and evidence-based practice while continuing to learn and build confidence as a new clinician.
During my musculoskeletal and private practice placements, I supported assessment and rehabilitation for a wide range of patients including post-operative conditions, sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents and persistent pain. I gained experience with manual therapy, exercise prescription and load management, and worked closely with patients to help them understand their rehabilitation and return to day-to-day activities. I also spent time in a high-performance sports environment where I assisted with injury assessment, rehabilitation progression, on-field preparation and communication within an interdisciplinary team.
My acute care placements at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Mater Hospital helped me develop skills in prioritisation, respiratory assessment and early mobilisation for patients with complex medical needs. Managing supervised caseloads in these settings strengthened my clinical reasoning and my ability to adapt to changing clinical situations while maintaining safe and effective care.
Across all settings, I have aimed to be reliable, engaged and open to learning. I value teamwork, supportive colleagues and environments that encourage ongoing professional development. I look forward to contributing these qualities to my future workplace and continuing to grow as a physiotherapist.
Clinical interests
A broad clinical education combined with focused interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological recovery, and preventative care.
Orthopaedic & Sports Rehabilitation
Post-surgical and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, from ACL reconstruction to lower back pain. Evidence-based progressive loading and return-to-sport planning.
Neurological Recovery
Applying neuroplasticity principles in functional rehabilitation for stroke, TBI, spinal cord conditions, and MS. Gait retraining, balance work, and upper limb recovery.
Injury Prevention & Performance
Targeted strategies including strength, control, and movement retraining to reduce injury risk and enhance physical performance.
Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy
Specialized cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and early rehabilitation in the ICU, including MHI, suctioning, percussions and vibrations, and mobilization and transfers, to support recovery and optimize functional outcomes.
Manual Therapy
Hands‑on techniques including joint mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, and pain modulation strategies to restore movement, reduce discomfort, and support functional recovery.
Exercise Prescription
Individualised therapeutic programs balancing progressive overload with recovery, tailored to each patient's goals, from acute rehabilitation to performance conditioning.
Clinical placements
Seven clinical placements across multiple locations, spanning the full spectrum of physiotherapy practice from acute inpatient care to high-performance private practice.
Orthopaedics
Managed a new-graduate physiotherapy caseload in orthopaedics, assessing and treating acute and post-operative patients including joint replacements and fracture presentations. Planned and delivered evidence-based interventions such as early mobilisation, exercise progression, and functional retraining to support recovery and timely discharge.
Neurorehabilitation
Assessed and treated inpatients with complex neurological conditions including stroke and traumatic brain injury, focusing on restoring movement and function. Applied task-specific training such as gait re-education, postural control, and balance rehabilitation to improve mobility and reduce falls risk. Facilitated discharge planning through functional goal setting and patient and family education.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Supported assessment and development of treatment plans across a varied MSK caseload under supervision. Managed presentations including TKR rehabilitation, Achilles tendinopathy, MVA injuries, and concussion-related symptoms. Performed manual therapy and delivered evidence-based exercise prescription aligned with individual functional goals.
MSK Outpatients
Managed a broad musculoskeletal caseload including ACL rehabilitation, post-operative TKR, Lisfranc ORIF, and motor vehicle accident-related injuries across varying stages of recovery. Conducted comprehensive assessments and delivered evidence-based treatment using manual therapy, progressive exercise prescription, and functional rehabilitation tailored to patient goals. Applied motivational interviewing and education strategies to optimise adherence to rehabilitation programs.
Athletic Training/Physical Therapy
Assessed and assisted in managing acute and chronic sports injuries for Division I athletes within a high-performance interdisciplinary environment. Supported rehabilitation programming, on-field assessments, treatment progression, and performance-focused interventions. Worked across the Athletic Training Room and Sports Medicine Clinic, contributing to athlete monitoring, return-to-play progression, and preventative conditioning programs.
Intensive Care Unit
Provided physiotherapy management for critically ill patients, including respiratory assessment, suctioning, and manual hyperinflation. Conducted cardiorespiratory reviews, supported early mobilisation, and monitored patients' response to treatment. Independently managed a supervised caseload of 5–6 ICU patients by the end of placement, prioritising care based on acuity and clinical indicators.
Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy
Performed cardiovascular and respiratory assessments, provided airway clearance techniques (ACBT, PEP, OPEP), and delivered mobilisation-based interventions. Supported exercise rehabilitation and functional retraining for patients with complex medical conditions. Participated in discharge planning, multidisciplinary team meetings, and daily patient prioritisation to support effective inpatient flow.
Graduate Student Researcher
Contributed to a research project investigating neural activation changes during inpatient stroke rehabilitation and the relationship between therapy intensity and walking outcomes using FES cycling. Prepared ethics submission materials, collected participant data, and performed statistical analysis. This work contributed to four peer-reviewed publications.
